Anne Rights the Ship

Anne is growing up so fast. A month ago she could barely scoot around and now she is zipping all over the house following mommy and daddy from room to room. Starting this week we found Anne sitting up in her crib when we went to get her in the morning, which was a completely new trick. How did she do that?

Anne Dances

Anne really enjoys music and will often shake her head, her hands, and her bum while listening to her favorite tunes. This video was an attempt to capture my 10 month old daughters first inkling of music and the joy it can bring. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I had in making it.

Friday Morning

Friends of ours gave us their firetruck. Anne loves it. The first time I put her on, she put her hands right on the handlebars and said, "Giddyup Mom, let's go!"
Anne was a very helpful girl this morning and helped me fold the laundry.

Anne Scoots!

Anne is finally figuring out how to scoot around on the floor. It is really quite amazing to see how good she has gotten scooting. For a long time she was able only to scoot only a foot or two on her bum. Now she is figuring out how to quickly move several feet to get where she wants to go using her legs and arms. While mommy and daddy are excited to see their little peanut grow, Anne now requires more careful attention since she can no longer be left  on the floor with her toys by herself. She can quickly find trouble if not watched carefully.

Grandpa's Birthday

Grandpa Reifenberger recently celebrated a birthday. Throughout the week leading up to grandpa's birthday Anne fretted about what to get grandpa. Since she was in mommy's belly last year during grandpa's birthday, she had never gotten grandpa a gift before. Finally after talking with daddy Anne settled on sending grandpa some pictures of her having fun. So on the morning of April 3rd while daddy operated the camera, Anne posed for several pictures that showing grandpa how much she loved him. In the 1st picture you can see that Anne made grandpa a sign wishing him a very happy birthday. In the 2nd image Anne decided to send a cute picture of her smiling on the flowery chair. Finally the 3rd image shows Anne emailing the pictures to grandpa (Anne's computer skills are very advanced for her age).

Jeff, Anne and I all had the pleasure of spending a week down in Daytona Beach with the Reifenberger family and my parents.  We had great weather and enjoyed the trip so very much.   Too bad the indoor pool was even too cold for Annie, but she did enjoy eating the sand.
