Raking Leaves

The leaves are falling in Arlington so Anne and Daddy raked leaves together while Mommy got her hair done. Anne really loves leaves and is surprising quite good with a rake. Here are some pictures from the day.

Boston in October

It is October and here is a picture of Boston from the park just a couple of blocks from our house. The fall colors have arrived.

Anne on the Slide

We also took Anne down a big slide.

Anne in the Park

It was a beautiful autumn day today so we decided to take Anne to the park. She is really starting to enjoy a variety of activities that involve movement. Here is a video of her in the swing.

Anne's First Halloween Costume

Jody's colleague at work, Janet, gave Anne this very cute costume for Halloween. After several attempts we finally got the "money" shot of Anne with a big smile.

Jump Around!

How to describe this video...? Once your child learns to smile it quickly becomes an all consuming quest as a parent to find new and innovative ways to make them smile. Anne has been smiling for about a month now and is beginning to learn how to giggle. It recently came to our attention that Anne really likes to Jump (i.e. parent holds her and simulates a jump). Daddy took this to a whole new level in the video below. Not only does Anne smile, but she even demonstrates a brief giggle around 32 sec into the clip. Unfortunately we could only post an abbreviated version of the video, but I think you will find it as entertaining as we did.

Anne's First Trip to Devil's Lake

Snack break along the trail.

"I love hiking with mom!"

Reagan climbed the rocks for the first time with Grandpa Farrey and Uncle Jeff. She did great and is only 4 yrs old!

The campfire was very mesmerizing to Anne.

Hanging out in the tent with Grandpa Farrey.

Cousin Lyla told Anne a funny joke!

Catching some smiles.

Anne is a very smilely girl, but capturing these moments are difficult. So, at least one photo here has captured that heart-melting, toothless grin!

We are forever amazed at the position that children can sleep in!
