A Trip to IL in August

I made a special trip back to IL in August to spend some special time with my Grandma Knox for a long weekend.

It's Been a While

Well, I finally found a cord for the camera. I looked for one a few weeks ago and gave up, but tonight I was successful. Hopefully it won't be such a long hiatus the next time. That is, if the little people around here don't move it!

Devil's Lake 2011

Can't believe another Devil's Lake has already come and past. A great time was had by all, as usual. Just goes by too fast. Thought I had better get these pics up before I forget. This was Owen's first camping trip. Both Anne and Owen did great in the tent.

Grandma and Grandpa Farrey Visit

My parents came out to visit for a week. We had a great time. We started with a work day around the house. Mom helped me trim back my every growing yard and Dad and Jeff did a lot of home improvement projects over the course of the week, including pulling out the front hedge!

On Monday we drove down to Newport, RI to view some of the mansions. We spent the night and went to the beach the next day. It was a beautiful day at the beach, pristine if you will. Sun was shining, the water was great and some fun waves to play in.

Dad and I went for a Segway tour of Cambridge. This is something I've been wanting to try for a long time and I offered this up to Dad for his Father's Day and Birthday present. He was game, so off we went. It was pretty cool.

A Belated Father's Day Update

Father's Day was also Anne's birthday, so we celebrated both on that Sunday. We had ribs from Blue Ribbon Barbeque for the Dads and baked mac'n cheese for the kiddos.

A Belated Birthday Update

For Anne's birthday in June, we invited over the Welander's and Jeff's brother, Matt and family. We had a beautiful day and enjoyed some time in the yard. Anne got her first t-ball set from Uncle Matt and Aunt Darcy.

Grandpa and Nana Reifenberger got Anne this water table for her birthday. It was a big hit.
