Jeff, Anne and I have had a fun day snowed in at the house. I usually don't go in to work until 1pm on Wednesdays, but decided to stay home because it was questionable if I would make it. Jeff can easily work from home though, so he had planned on it the night before. He probably spent a total of 4 hours outside shoveling today. Thankfully, our wonderful neighbor, Bob, came out with his snow blower to speed up the process. Anne and I went out for a little while once things were cleared out. It's really amazing how much snow there is out there. I'm a bit bummed that I can't go out and play or go sledding. Guess there is always next year, but we've had a great winter for snow so far. We just love it!

Weekend Trip to Stowe, Vermont
Every year for my birthday, Jeff takes me to Vermont for a weekend getaway. We had to go a little early this year with the Reifenbaby coming next month. This year we went to Stowe, Vermont and stayed at the Trapp Family Lodge. The Lodge is still owned and run by the Von Trapp Family which inspired the musical "The Sound of Music." Here are a few pics from the weekend. Anne and I went to the pool on both Saturday and Sunday. She wasn't a fan of getting in too far, but enjoyed splashing in the water.
It felt great on my belly to float around for a while. On Saturday evening before dinner I had a massage, which was fabulous. It snowed the entire time we were in Vermont. Made for a bit of a treacherous drive up to the Lodge on Friday night, but was absolutely beautiful all weekend. The Lodge has a dining room and family rooms with fireplaces where there are board games. You could actually spend a whole weekend and never leave the Lodge, its just so cozy. They have quite a few miles of cross country skiing and snow-shoeing trails if you're in to that or don't have a pregnant women in your party.
